Alphatec (ATEC) announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 12,535,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $4.60 per share, including the full exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase 1,635,000 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments.
ATEC received gross proceeds of $57,661,000. Net proceeds will support general corporate purposes such as working capital, capital expenditures and continued research and development of products and technologies. A portion of the net proceeds may fund possible investments in or acquisitions of complementary businesses, products or technologies, though the company does not currently have any agreements or commitments to do so.
