J&J MedTech reported 4Q25 orthopedic sales of $2.43 billion, up 5.3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2024. For the full year, the company generated $9.2 billion in orthopedic sales, up 1.1% compared to the prior year.
The company called out increased momentum for orthopedics with growth of 5.3% (3.5% after currency impact), driven by new product launches and better commercial execution. SKU rationalization and VBP impact in China offset some of the gains.
The planned separation of orthopedics is progressing toward a mid-2027 finish, with updates coming from J&J MedTech later in 2026. The company said there has been no distraction from the announcement among its orthopedics team, given the results in the fourth quarter. However, it will be interesting to see subsequent results to determine how much of the fourth quarter lift came from seasonality.
