NuVasive entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based Biedermann Technologies, holder of a broad patent and technology portfolio in fields of spinal and extremity surgery.
Specifically, Biedermann granted licenses to IP relating to proprietary spinal screw technology that will be integrated into NUVA’s RELINE® posterior fixation portfolio. This will support a comprehensive platform to treat adult and pediatric complex spinal pathologies using open as well as minimally invasive surgery, with customized screw placement and corrective maneuvers based on patient need. System availability is slated for 1H19.
Biedermann Technologies will assist with development of the next-generation RELINE complex spine system, as well.
