Medartis commenced full commercial launch of its LapiPrep Lapidus Correction and Preparation System to the U.S. market.
LapiPrep, which has been in limited launch since 3Q22, allows surgeons to continuously adjust all three planes of deformity (IM angle, frontal plane rotation, sagittal alignment) while providing compression/distraction. Correction is held in place by stable screws within the dorsal jig, allowing the procedure to be performed with only one set of hands.
Rod Mayer, President, Medartis US, said, ”The LapiPrep System represents years of dedication to the goal of transforming Lapidus procedures into efficient, streamlined surgeries with precise, reproducible corrections. We look forward to offering surgeons increased intraoperative flexibility and the autonomy to determine the fixation that best meets the needs of their individual patients.”
