Nanovis completed alpha launch of FortiCore® PLIF, featuring a deeply-porous titanium scaffold with a PEEK core, and announced implantation of the 2,000th FortiCore implant.
FortiCore TLIF and PLIF implants are designed with deeply-porous titanium scaffolds to contact the endplate, with a radiolucent PEEK core injection-molded into the bottom of the scaffold. The systems are available with MIS or open instrumentation.
FortiCore devices received initial FDA 510(k) clearance in 2014. Nanovis’ product development initiatives have been supported by eight competitive, peer-reviewed grants from the NIH and other research organizations.
