3D-Side entered into an agreement with Smith+Nephew for the launch of their TOTAL ANKLE Interactive Software platform. The company gained FDA 510(k) clearance in 2022 for Customize Ankle Arthroplasty Pre-Operative Planning Software.
TOTAL ANKLE Interactive Software is a dedicated web platform using all of the functionalities offered by Customize and compatible with surgical techniques for the CADENCE and SALTO TALARIS total ankles. The platform enables physicians to upload patient CT and x-ray scans and receive a 3D pre-operative plan of the reconstruction of the pathological ankles.
Based on the pre-operative planning, the physicians can optimally position and size the talar and tibial components, adjust bony positioning and alignment, and assess the impact to anatomical structures or existing hardware.
