Results from a study of Zyga Technology’s SImmetry® Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Fusion with decortication procedure indicate that, at 12 months, fusion was reported in 74% of patients and back pain decreased by 72%.
Of patients in whom fusion was reported, 86% showed fusion in the area of decortication. Two-year results for the study are expected in early 2017.
In 2Q16, Zyga reported enrollment of the first four patients in an expanded EVoluSIon Clinical Study. The prospective 40-site, 250-patient trial is evaluating long-term fusion and pain reduction in patients receiving SImmetry Sacroiliac Joint Fusion.
