SpineSource acquired the intellectual property assets of two spinal implant systems from Kisco International, including the L-VARLOCK® Expandable Lumbar Cage which SpineSource has marketed in the U.S. since 2016. SpineSource plans to submit the second system to FDA for potential clearance later this year.
With supplemental fixation, the L-VARLOCK interbody fusion device can expand from any range of zero to 24.5° of angle, and from zero to 7.1mm of expansion within the disc.
