Six-year study results on the treatment of sacroiliac joint (SI) disorders indicated that patients treated with conservative management or radiofrequency denervation worsened in outcome measures of pain and function, while iFuse Implant patients demonstrated superior improvements.
The study evaluated 137 outpatient neurosurgery patients clinic who received either conservative management (63 patients), SI joint denervation (47) or SI joint fusion with iFuse (27). At last follow-up, 70% of iFuse patients had returned to work, vs. 34% of those treated with denervation and 19% with conservative management.
Earlier this month, SI-BONE announced the milestone of >25,000 iFuse Implant procedures performed worldwide since its 2009 launch.
