K2M and LifeHealthcare entered into a new 5-year supply agreement for distribution of K2M’s spinal technologies in Australia and New Zealand.
The parties’ distribution partnership began in 2010, and has delivered products to the region such as the EVEREST® MI XT and MESA® platforms. The agreement renewal will bring in new K2M systems, such as CASCADIA™ and Balance ACS™.
In early 2016, issues with LifeHealthcare had resulted in a $10MM revenue reduction for K2M. A focus on inventory control and working capital efficiencies yielded modest improvement in replenishment orders as of 3Q16, and by year-end, replenishment spending was reported as having stabilized.
