The Orthopaedic Implant Company (OIC) introduced the Trochanteric Antegrade Femur Intramedullary Nail (TAFN), indicated for simple and comminuted fractures occurring in and between the proximal third and distal fourth of the femur.
TAFN is offered in 10mm to 13mm diameters and 320mm to 440mm lengths, and employs instrumentation that surgeons already use.
In addition to the TAFN, OIC’s IM nail portfolio includes hip nails, a piriformis-entry antegrade and retrograde femur nail and a tibial nail indicated for infra- and suprapatellar approaches.
