Captiva Spine announced initial U.S. procedures with TransFasten™ Posterior SI Fusion. The system, which entered alpha launch in 4Q17, employs a form of “mortise and tenon” stabilization, providing 12 contact points across the joint without disrupting the anatomy. The company plans to train additional surgeons by the end of 1Q18.

Further, Captiva launched HyperLOX™, a posterior cervical system for stabilization and fusion of the cervical and thoracic spine. HyperLOX comprises a range of hyper-angulating top loading polyaxial screws, hooks, offset connectors, multiple rod-to-rod connector configurations, cross connectors and transitional rods.
