Studies suggest that obese children who sustain a supracondylar humeral fracture can be expected to have more complex fractures and more postoperative complications than children of a normal weight. This is the 1st study to assess the implications of obesity on this type of fracture. Pediatric obesity is considered to be an epidemic, with prevalence having quadruped over the last 25 years.
