Exabone Receives CE Mark Approval for EXABONE PUTTY Synthetic Bone Substitute -

Exabone received approval under the CE Mark for its new product range, EXABONE PUTTY, an injectable composite synthetic bone substitute. The granulated nanopaste combines properties of nano-structured hydroxyapatite with the longer-term volume stability of a highly-porous and fully interconnected HA/TCP granule component in a ready to use product.

The EXABONE PUTTY nano HA constituent has a surface area that is 50 to 100 times greater than traditional synthetic bone graft to support initial vascularization and integration, while the biphasic granule constituent is fully interconnected and provides structure during bone formation and remodeling.

EXABONE PUTTY is designed for use in a broad range of non-load bearing osseous defects, including spinal surgery (cage filling), osteotomies, bone cavity and defect filling, metaphyseal fractures and acetabulum reconstruction.
