Following alpha evaluations that began in December 2018, Alphatec (ATEC) commenced commercial release of the IdentiTiâ„¢ Large Window Porous Titanium Interbody Implant for anterior lumbar interbody fusion.
This is the fifth of 12 new ATEC products slated for 2019 launch, and the fourth of six IdentiTi systems to come.
IdentiTi devices are made through a subtractive manufacturing process and complement ATEC’s PEEK implants. Features include a consistent, fully interconnected porosity, mimicking that of cancellous bone; reduced density (60% porous), allowing enhanced intraoperative and postoperative imaging; stiffness similar to bone, etc.
